The Roku 3
I read articles in this product from time to time and when I had finally gotten tired of paying for cable and also tired of looking at Netflix and Hulu on my MacBook Pro (direct or via HDMI connected to my tv) I decided to pick up this little box of wonderful surprises. When researching the Roku box I compared it to two other products. One was the popcorn hour (thanks Mike). The other was the Avel Link Player. I had owned the Avel Link Player and knew its capabilities. The popcorn hour my friend Mike owned one.
The features that have impressed me the most about the Roku are the remote that comes with a headphone jack, the plugins/ scripts that are available, and the ability to stream media from my computer.
